J. Sampathkumar v. State Rep.By
Crl.OP.No.24861 of 2023 Crl.O.P.No.24861 of 2023 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN,J.
The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 43 (A) r/w 66 and 66 (d) IT Act, in Crime No.11 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.
2.It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent that the petitioner was working in Tirupur Collector Office as a contract worker and was an in-charge of the ESeva services. But, he had created a separate website as if it facilitates Government services and on that process, collected Rs.50/- from every customer as convenience fees. It is further stated that he had collected a sum of Rs.50/- from about 8000 persons. Thus, he prayed for dismissal of this petition. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner had created the website out of his own cost and only for that purpose, he charged convenience fees. Thus, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail for the petitioner.

sli 4.However, duplicating the work of the Government as an authority and creating website in the name of the Government and doing E-Seva is an offence. It is also informed that the petitioner had been terminated from service and he is only a contract worker. But, however, taking into consideration the seriousness of the offences committed, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
