ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to grant compassionate appointment to the petitioner, who is the wife of the deceased employee K.Ramamoorthy, who died while in service on 29.07.2020.

2.In such circumstances, she has given a representation on 1/4

28.09.2020 seeking for compassionate appointment. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, she has filed this writ petition.

3.Heard Mr.S.Unnikrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.V.Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim.

5.No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 6.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 28.09.2020 seeking for compassionate appointment 2/4

on account of the death of K.Ramamoorthy, who was hired on contract basis as Part Time /Temporary Shop Salesman, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
