O R D E R

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.07.2025 for the alleged offence under Sections 318(2), 318(4) and 62 of BNS, 2023 in Crime No.110 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2. The petitioner along with other accused persons have attempted to 1/4

sell the fake iridium, worth about Rs.2,00,00,000/- and the same was seized.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and opposed to grant bail to the petitioner on the ground that totally there are 11 accused involved in this case and some of the accused were absconding. He further submitted that investigation yet to be completed. If the petitioner is released on bail, there is every possibility of tampering the witness and it is difficult to secure the absconding accused.

5. By way of reply, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner 2/4

contended that the petitioner is no way connected with the crime and nothing to do with the offence. He further contended that the FIR does not disclose the ingredient of cheating.

6. Considering the nature of complaint and the investigation not yet complied, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 15.09.2025 Vv To 1.The Judicial Magistrate Court, Neyveli.
