ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying for the relief of quashing the FIR registered in Crime No.62 of 2015 on the file of the the Inspector of Police, B-7, Vellavedu Police Station, Thiruvallur District. 2.Heard Ms.G.Gayathri, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent. 3.It is seen from the records that the case is under investigation. decided to bury their hatchet and compromise the dispute amicably among themselves and accordingly, a Joint Memorandum of Compromise has been filed before this Court which has been signed by the petitioners and the second respondent and also by their respective Counsel. The Petitioners are present before this Court through Video Conference and they were identified by Mr.S.Karthikeyan, Sub Inspector of Police, Vellavedu Police Station. This Court also enquired the parties and was satisfied that the parties have come to an amicable settlement between themselves.
4.Under such circumstances, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the proceedings in Crime No.62 of 2015 pending, even though, the offences involved are not compoundable in nature. In the light of the guidelines given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of "Parbathbhai Aahir @ Parbathbhai -vs- State of Gujarath" reported in "2017 9 SCC 641", this Court in exercise of its jurisdiction under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code quashes the proceedings in Crime No.62 of 2015.
5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and as a sequel, the proceedings in Crime No.62 of 2015 on the file of the Inspector of Police, B-7, Vellavedu Police Station, Thiruvallur District, is quashed and the terms of Joint Memorandum of Compromise shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
