By consent of both the parties, this writ petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that though she was absorbed as an Assistant Professor in the respondent University with effect from 08.07.2014, she claims that she ought to have been absorbed with effect from 01.08.2012, when there was a merger of the respondent University. According to her, similarly placed Assistant Professors were absorbed by the respondent University with effect from 01.08.2012. In such circumstances, the petitioner has given a representation on 23.11.2022 to the respondent requesting for her absorption to take into effect from 01.08.2012. Since the representation has not been considered, till date, she has filed this writ petition.

4. Heard Ms.L.Parvinbanu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V. Meenakshisundaram, learned Standing counsel for the respondent.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to 2/4

pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 23.11.2022 seeking for her absorption as an Assistant Professor with effect from 01.08.2012 instead of 08.07.2014, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
