This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents police not to harass the petitioner and family members.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the petitioner's husband namely Jhonson Saveer is a accused in Crime No.781 of 2022 in Melur Police Station for the offences under Sections 420, 468 and 471 of IPC.

3. He further submitted that the petitioner's husband has been absconding. Therefore, the respondent Police have to necessarily enquire with the petitioner to ascertain the whereabouts of her husband and it cannot be termed as 'Harassment'.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Court dismisses this petition with a direction to the respondent Police to avoid visiting the petitioner's house unnecessarily and at the same time, the petitioner is directed to co-operate with the respondent Police to findout the whereabouts of her husband.
