Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to issue patta to the petitioner for the property situated at Plot No.13, measuring an extent of 229.50 Sq.mt., morefully coloured RED in the approved layout vide No.P.P.D/L.O.No.26/2010, and comprised in old Survey No.8/2 and New Survey No.155/2 (part) Acres 15.98 out of Acres 63.88 and in old Survey No.9 and New Survey No.156 (part) Acres 16.52 out of Acres 21.00 totaling Acres 32.50 Patta 3311 and after sub division new Survey No.155/2B1 and 156/2A, situated at No.118, Padianallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District. ORDER
In respect of the property at old Survey No.8/2 and New Survey No.155/2 and in old Survey No.9 and New Survey No.156 situated at No.118, Padianallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District, the petitioner made an application on 19.10.2022 for getting patta and in order to consider the said application, the present writ petition has been moved.
2. Heard Ms.M.Kokila, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.Akila Rajendran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. Mrs.Akila Rajendran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the said application, submitted by the petitioner, would be considered by the second respondent and the needful would be undertaken within a time frame that would be fixed by this Court.
4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this writ petition and after having regard to the said submissions made by the learned Government 2/4
Advocate appearing for the respondent, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following orders:
That there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the application made by the petitioner dated 19.10.2022 and do the needful therein on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With these directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
