PETITION under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to transfer the investigation of the case in Cr.No.479 of 2022 from the file of the Inspector of Police, Maduranthakam Police Station, Chengalpattu District to the file of any other competent investigating agency such as CBCID or to any other investigating agency having competent jurisdiction to investigate the matter for proper investigation and report.

ORDER

This is a petition filed by the petitioner seeking to transfer the investigation in Cr.No.479 of 2022, which is pending before the respondent Police to any other investigating agency.

2. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Maduranthakam, Chengalpattu District to monitor the investigation conducted by the respondent in Cr.No.479 of 2022. The investigation shall be effectively completed and a final report shall be filed before the concerned jurisdictional court within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The above criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly. 04.7.2023 2/3
