O R D E R

The prayer in the Writ Petition reads as follows: "to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to consider the representation dated 05.11.2022 submitted to The Additional District Revenue Officer of Krishnagiri District for the renewal of SBML Gun license for crop and cattle protection for the land admeasuring an extent of 5 acres comprised in 557/5 Vannathipatti Village, Thenkanikottai Taluk, Dharmapuri District."

2. The learned Special Government Pleader has produced the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Krishnagiri dated 11.09.2018 rejecting the claim of the petitioner for grant of gun license. There is also a direction to the petitioner to surrender the weapon in the nearest Police Station. It appears that the petitioner has made a further representation on 05.11.2022 without challenging the order dated 11.09.2018.

3. In view of the above, I do not think a Mandamus as sought for could be issued. It will be open to the petitioner to challenge this order taking it that it has been communicated to him today.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
