O R D E R

Challenging the FIR filed against the petitioners herein in Cr.No.35 of 2025 on the file of the All Women Police Station, Kancheepuram, the present petition has been filed.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the first respondent.

3. On a bare perusal of the case reveals that it pertains to matrimonial dispute. The de-facto complainant is the wife of the first accused/husband and the petitioners herein are the sister and brother-in-law of the first accused. It is seen that the complaint has been lodged within a short period of the marriage. Due to disharmony between the de-facto complainant and the first accused, the first accused filed divorce petition on 03.06.2025 and as a counter-blast, the complaint has been lodged and FIR has been filed against the first accused and his family members. The petitioners herein are residing at some other place and they have been falsely roped into this case as they are the family members of the first accused and a negative report has

been filed against them. In view of the aforesaid reasons, this Court directs the first respondent not to take any coercive action against these petitioners and to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 02.09.2025 DP To 1.The Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Kancheepuram.
