Assistant in Commerce and thereby include the name of the petitioner in 2019 panel issued by the 2nd respondent in Proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No. 049969/ W2/E1/2019 dated 17.10.2019, as per the seniority from the date of regularization in the post of Vocational Instructor with consequential promotion to the post of P.G.Assistant in Commerce with all consequential and attendant benefits, within a time frame to be fixed by this Honble Court. Heard Mr.S.Nedunchezhiyan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.P.Rajarajeswari, learned Government Advocate for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition to call for the records relating to the impugned Government Order issued by the 1 st respondent in G.O.Ms.No.

185, School Education (VE) Department dated 25.08.2008 and to quash the same insofar as in Para 3(3) is concerned and consequently directing the

respondents to reckon the seniority from the date of appointment/regularization in the post of Vocational Instructor for promotion to the post of P.G. Assistant in Commerce and thereby include the name of the petitioner in 2019 panel issued by the 2 nd respondent in Proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No. 049969/ W2/E1/2019 dated 17.10.2019, as per the seniority from the date of regularization in the post of Vocational Instructor with consequential promotion to the post of P.G.Assistant in Commerce with all consequential and attendant benefits, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's name has been included in the promotion panel of the year 01.01.2019 and she was allowed to participate in the promotion counselling. 4.

It is learnt that the petitioner was permitted to participate in the transfer counselling held on 16.04.2019 and relinquished the promotion to the post of P.G. Assistant (Commerce). In pursuance of the same, relinquishment order was also issued on 16.11.2019.

In view of the same, this writ petition has become infructuous and hence, it is closed. No costs.
