This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for directing the respondent Police, F3 Nungambakkam Police Station to register FIR based on the petitioner complaint dated 25.11.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's sister-in-law namely Jayanthi Srinivasan is troubling the petitioner's possession and forcefully trying to evict him, during the pendency of the civil suit. Therefore, the petitioner gave a complaint before the respondent police on 25.11.2022. However, no action was taken to register the First Information Report. Therefore, this petition is filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that, on an earlier occasion, on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, an enquiry was conducted. However, during the course of the enquiry, the parties have decided to settle the dispute peacefully between them. Therefore, that petition was closed on 11.02.2022. He further submitted that the complaint dated 2/4

25.11.2022 is not available in the Police Station. If fresh complaint is given before the respondent police, an appropriate action will be taken.

4. Recording the above submission, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, giving direction to the petitioner to give fresh complaint to the respondent.
