This application has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 270 days in filing the written statement in the above suit.

2. Though this Court is of the view that the reasons assigned in affidavit in support of the petition are not convincing, however, taking note of the fact that the suit has been filed for protection of reputation of the plaintiff; in order to give a fair opportunity to agitate the rights of the parties, the delay is condoned, subject to the payment of cost of Rs.5,000/- payable to Ms.Vandana Jain, learned counsel for the plaintiff/respondent on or before 30.11.2023.
