Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in Ma.A.16th Na.Ka.No.066/2019 dated 02.02.2019 passed by the 3rd respondent and the revised property tax general revision 2018-2019 dated 08.10.2018 issued by the 1st respondent revising the tax from Rs.18,120/- to Rs.54,400/- (Rupees Fifty Four Thousand and Four Hundred Only) in respect of the property situated at No.1A, Nehru Street, Sholinganallur, Chennai-119, in Zone No.15, in Account No.15/197/06661/000 for the period 2018-2019 and quash the same on the ground that it is contra to G.O.Ms.No.73, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MA.IV) Department dated 19.07.2018, which was passed by a non elected body of the Corporation of Chennai.

This writ petition is filed challenging the order dated 02.02.2019 passed by the 3rd respondent and the revised property tax general revision 2018-2019 dated 08.10.2018 issued by the 1st respondent revising the tax from Rs.18,120/- to Rs.54,400/- (Rupees Fifty Four Thousand and Four Hundred Only) in respect of the property situated at No.1A, Nehru Street, Sholinganallur, Chennai-119, in Zone No.15, in Account No.15/197/06661/000 for the period 2018-2019 and quash the same on the ground that it is contra to G.O.Ms.No.73, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MA.IV) Department dated 19.07.2018, which was passed by a non elected body of the Corporation of Chennai.

Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, it is represented by both sides that in view of the recent decision taken by the Government in G.O.Ms.No.150, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MA.IV) Department dated 19.11.2019, the grievance expressed by the petitioner does not exist any more.
