O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner during the survey to be conducted by the Revenue Officials of the second respondent in respect of the patta lands comprised in Survey Nos.172/14, 172/21, 172/27 and 172/29, Chedrambakkam Village, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District, for which the second respondent had already issued Patta No.424, Patta No.426, Patta No.425 and Patta No.422, all dated 29.04.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader and learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Since there is no adverse order passed against the private

respondent, notice to the private respondent is dispensed with.

4. The petitioner is seeking police protection to survey his land. There is a procedure for surveying the land under Patta Pass Book Act. The petitioner has to work out his remedy in the manner known to law and not by way filing this writ petition.

5. In view of same, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
