Prayer Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st to 5th respondents to cancel the sub divisions made in Sy. No. 23/3 in Thiruvanchery Village Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpattu district (previously Kancheepuram district ) to cancel the patta No.801 for sy.No.23/3C4 measuring an extent of 27 cents of land in the name of Mr. Gajendran (6th respondent) and patta No. 799 for Sy. No. 23/3C2 measuring an extent of 5 cents of land jointly in the names of Mr. Gajendran (6th respondent) and Mr. Sanmugam (7th respondent ) and pass For Petitioner : Mr.J.Ramesh For Respondents 1 to 5 : Mr.C.Jayaprakash Government Advocate Order Heard Mr.J.Ramesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate who takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. Since the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission and considering the nature of relief to be granted herein, notice to the respondents 6 & 7 is dispensed with. 2/7

2. This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the following prayer:- i) For issuance of mandamus directing the 1st to 5th respondents to cancel the sub divisions made in Sy. No. 23/3 in Thiruvanchery Village Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpattu district (previously Kancheepuram district ) to cancel the patta No.801 issued in the name of Mr. Gajendran (6th respondent) and patta No. 799 issued jointly in the names of Mr. Gajendran (6th respondent) and Mr. Sanmugam (7th respondent ).

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as per the proceedings passed by the Assistant Commissioner, Land Reforms, Villupuram dated 21.01.2013, the petitioner has been assigned the subject land and is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same from the date of said assignment, however, the sixth and seventh respondents made a false representation before the Revenue Authorities and sub-divided the land in S.No.23/3, and also maneuvered to obtain patta in their names, aggrieved by which, the petitioner made a representation dated 14.07.2025 to the respondent No.4 setting out the entire facts and sought for cancellation of sub divisions made in Sy.No.23/3 in Thiruvanchery Village Tambaram 3/7

Taluk, Chengalpattu district and also for cancellation of patta issued in the names of the sixth and seventh respondents, but, as on date, the petitioner has not been favoured with any response, hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if the representation made by her seeking for aforesaid prayer is considered and disposed of in a time bound manner.

5. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 5 fairly submitted that the representation made by the petitioner would be considered and disposed of in accordance with law within the time, as stipulated by this Court.

In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 5 and considering the limited scope of the prayer, sought for by the petitioner, in this Writ Petition, this Court, without expressing any view with regard to the merits of the contentions putforth by the petitioner either in the Writ Petition or in the representation, is of the 4/7

view that, suffice it would be to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation in a time bound manner.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the representation made by the petitioner's dated 14.07.2025 and dispose of the same as early as possible, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing due notice to the parties concerned, particularly, sixth and seventh respondents. No costs.
