ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first Respondent not to promote the Typists or Stenographers those who are not having one year clerical training before they appointed as Assistant in the Transport Department.

2.Mr.K.H.Ravikumar, learned Government Advocate submitted that by proceedings No.13024/RA2/2020 (E.O.No.405/2020) dated 25.09.2020, the Additional Chief Secretary/Transport Commissioner, Chepauk, has passed an order that the Transport Department has to ensure that Assistants (either direct recruits or promotees) who fulfill all the norms provided under Annexure IV of Rule 30(b) of the Special Rules alone are considered and granted promotion. 2/4

Therefore 73 employees who were working as Assistants were promoted as Superintendent and posted on various stations and accordingly, the Petitioner's name which stands in S.No.42 also promoted and posted to Pollachi from 25.09.2020.

3.Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
