The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2022 and 1 / 4
issue patta in favour of them in respect of properties purchased vide Document No.3043/1980 dated 08.08.1980 and in Document No.4266/1980 dated 05.12.1980.
2. The petitioner, in order to get patta for certain lands, which are claimed to be the properties of the petitioner at Kavanoor Vilage, Arakkonam Taluk, Ranipet District, had given a representation on 16.09.2022 to the second respondent Tahsildar and in order to consider the same, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that, as per the procedure in vogue the an application for patta has to be made through online along with necessary fee, and then only it would be taken into account. Since the petitioner has not made any online application, the present representation cannot be considered and if at all the petitioner comes forward to make an online application, the needful would be undertaken by the second respondent for issuance of patta on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for and having regard to the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order. "That it is open to the petitioner to make an online application to the 2nd respondent along with necessary fee if any and once such an online application is made by the petitioner, on receipt of the same, the second respondent Tahsildar shall consider the said application and pass necessary orders with regard to the plea to be made by the petitioner thereafter within a period of six weeks."
