PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.09.2024 as expeditiously as possible in line with the guidelines issued by the third respondent vide press release bearing P.R.No.1/2020 dated 10.09.2020. O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 17.09.2024 as expeditiously as possible in line with the guidelines issued by the third respondent vide press release bearing P.R.No.1/2020 dated 10.09.2020.

The case of the petitioners is that the grandfather of the petitioners had obtained electricity connection and was allotted electricity Consumption No.59 for Survey No.317/10B and subsequently, the petitioners' father inherited the property from the petitioner's grandfather and due to scarcity of water in Survey No.317/10B, the father of the petitioners
requested the concerned Electricity Circle to shift the electricity Consumption No.59 to his own nearby land at Survey No.290/3 and had obtained NOC Certificate from the concerned Village Administrative Officer to shift the electricity connection from Survey No.317/10B to Survey No.290/3. For the past 10 years, the petitioners are doing agricultural in the aforesaid survey number based on Electricity Consumption No.59. Regarding shifting of service connection, the third respondent has also issued various guidelines vide press release bearing P.R.No.1/2020 dated 10.09.2020. While so, the first respondent has issued a letter dated 05.09.2024 to the petitioners regarding cancellation of transfer of electricity service connection. In reply to the same, the petitioners made a representation dated 17.09.2024 to the first respondent stating all the facts along with the documents to prove that the shifting was done illegally, however, the same has not been considered so far. Therefore, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit
that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representations of the petitioners, dated 17.09.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 17.09.2024 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There
