Respondent Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.09.2024 for granting the building planning permission/approval for the plot Nos.272, 273, 300 & 301 comprised in S.No.58/1 & 4 and S.No.59/1 under PattaNo.39 of Chinnasekkadu Village, formerly Madhavaram Taluk, Thiruvallur District, presently Thiruvottiyur Taluk, Chennai District within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner seeking planning permission/approval for the plot Nos.272, 273, 300 & 301 comprised in S.No.58/1 & 4 and S.No.59/1 under Patta No.39 of Chinnasekkadu Village, Thiruvottiyur Taluk, Chennai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner had already submitted an application seeking planning permission for his property in the year 2022. After raising queries, the petitioner submitted an explanation and also submitted a representation on 18.09.2024 seeking consideration of his application for planning permission. It is still pending with the respondent.

4. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the application submitted

by the petitioner on 18.09.2024 seeking planning permission and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
