The petitioners/accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 85 of BNS, 2023 (498 of IPC) in Crime No.Not Known of 2024 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for considering, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) submits that no case is registered against the petitioners. Based on the complaint given by the defacto complainant, the respondent police had enquired the matter. He further submits that the enquiry is pending against the petitioners and the investigation will be completed as early as possible. In the meanwhile, the respondent police shall not harass the petitioners.
