This writ petition was disposed of by order dated 09.12.2019 and has been posted for reporting compliance.
2.Learned Government Advocate submits that a status report was filed pursuant to the earlier order in this regard. Upon perusal of the status report, it is seen that out of 221 encroachments, the Government has taken action and completed partial eviction of 120 houses and 23 shops and full eviction has been completed in respect of 38 shops. Accordingly, the Government has requested for further time to complete the process of evicting the encroachers on account of the fact that they need to provide alternate sites for about 40 persons. 3.The aforesaid status report is taken on record and the present proceeding is closed in terms of the undertaking of the Government to continue with and complete the eviction process as undertaken in the status report of January, 2021.
