O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the Writ Petition is to direct the respondent to give monetary benefits and the salary already attached to the petitioner within a time frame that may be fixed by this court based on the last representation dated 27.2.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent and perused the documents available on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the writ petitioner was joined as Conductor in the respondent corporation attached to Perambur Depot and while in service, due to money transaction between the writ petitioner and one Chandran, an attachment order came to be passed against the writ petitioner in E.P.No. 807 of 2010 to periodically attach his salary at the rate of Rs.1000/- per month. Subsequently, the writ petitioner filed CRP.No. 4377 of 2013 before this Court and the same was allowed with condition that he should deposit https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Rs.75,000/- in the Court. Even after depositing the said amount by the writ petitioner, the respondent corporation has not granted the monetary benefits and the salary already attached in view of the execution proceedings. The writ petitioner has made representation to the respondent on 27.02.2017. However, the same is kept pending without any orders, hence the present writ petition.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent/corporation submitted that the said representation dated 27.02.2017 submitted by the writ petitioner is still pending with the respondent. The learned Standing Counsel further submitted that if this Court issues directions to the respondent, the same shall be considered and pass orders within a time as stipulated by this Court.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent/Corporation to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
