This application has been filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking for extension of time for the arbitrator to pass an arbitral award. Admittedly, the arbitration is pending before the arbitrator in respect of the dispute between the applicant and the respondent. The applicant seeks for further time to pronounce the arbitral award.

This Court is also satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this application. Accordingly, this application is allowed as prayed for by directing the arbitrator to complete the arbitration proceedings within a period of 12 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
