ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in Cr.No.435 of 2020 for an alleged offence under Section 147, 341, 294 (b) and 506 (ii) of IPC. The occurrence is said to have taken place on 21.09.2020. The allegation in this case is that the accused persons abused the defacto complainant with filthy language and attempted to assault him. The case is pending from the year 2024 and it is posted at the stage of trial. The defacto complainant passed away and the son of the defacto complainant does not want to pursue the case. Considering the factual matrix and context of the case, any further continuation of the proceedings will infringe upon the accused's right to speedy trial. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the matter pending.

3. Accordingly, the proceedings in STC.No.5/2024 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.2 Court, Arakkonam Taluk, Ranipet, is quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

19.09.2025 Jer electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
