ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) The present Habeas Corpus Petition is filed to direct the respondents to produce the detenu namely, Uthirakumar before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith and declare the arrest and detention of the detenu as illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the detenu, namely, Uthirakumar, had already been arrested on 19.08.2025 in connection with Crime No.216 of 2025 registered under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(B) of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, on the file of the Inspector of Police, G2 Uthiramerur Police Station, Kanchipuram District, and remanded to judicial custody.

3. In view of the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed. The petitioner is at liberty to file a bail application before the appropriate forum.
