Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondents for their willful and disobedience to comply with the order dated 16.09.2019 passed by this Court in WP No.360 of 2018.

O R D E R
The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (Legal), EPF Organisation vide proceedings TB/VLR/Contempt 712023/Legal/2024 dated 23.01.2024 addressed a letter to the petitioner Shri K.Durgachalam, stating as follows:- "In pursuance of the Writ Petition No.360 of 2018 and the subsequent Contempt Petition No.71 of 2024 filed by you, you are requested to submit the claim in Form-19 (for EPF benefits) and Form 10-C/10-D as th case may be for Pension Fund benefits to this Office to facilitate expeditious settlement of the benefits payable to you in respect of your EPF Account Number
TB/VLR/38050/700. In order to assist you in the process of claim submission (along with the required documents like Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook copy etc.), this Office has deputed an Enforcement Officer. You are requested to extend your cooperation and submit the claim."
2. In view of the letter, cited supra, the petitioner has to submit the claim petition. On receipt of the claim petition, the eligible claims due to the petitioner will be settled by following the procedures. Thus the petitioner is at liberty to file the claim petition immediately.
