Suo Motu TR.No.5813 of 2025
IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT MADRAS
DATED: 19.09.2025
CORAM:
THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE D.BHARATHA CHAKRAVARTHY Suo Motu TR.No.5813 of 2025 (CC.No.53/2022 of Judicial Magistrate Court, Sholinghur Taluk, Ranipet) For Petitioner : Mr.S.Sugendran Additional Public Prosecutor
ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in Cr.No.106 of 2022 for an alleged offence under Section 294 (b), 427 and 506(ii) of IPC. The occurrence is said to have taken place on 01.05.2022. The allegation in this case is that there was a wordy quarrel between the defacto complainant and the accused person. The case is pending from the year 2022 and it is pending at the stage of NBW. Now, the defacto complainant does not want to pursue the case. Considering the factual matrix, the context of the case, the background of the accused, the reason for his absence at his place of residence, and the submission made that, despite best efforts, the warrant could not be executed, it is clear that even if the accused faces trial, no useful purpose would be served.
