PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling upon the proceedings of the 1st respondent passed the impugned selection order in Advt No:DIPR/44/2016, Advt date 07.11.2016 interview held on 26.11.2016 at Chief Water Analysis Laboratory, King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research Institute Campus, Guindy, Chennai 600 032 for the post of Office Assistant - 3 Nos and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 may be select the petitioner for the above post of Office Assistant for Chennai Campus, further issue the appointment order in favour of the petitioner in accordance with law.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 22.08.2024, the learned counsel for the petitioner filed a memo dated 11.01.2024 stating that he has returned the case bundle to the petitioner along with change of vakalath, couple of months ago and hence requested this Court to remove his name from the cause list. Accordingly, Registry was directed to remove the name of the learned counsel for the petitioner from the cause list and directed to print the name of the petitioner and post the matter on 27.08.2024 under the caption "for

dismissal". When the matter came up for hearing on 27.08.2024, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and in order to give one more opportunity to the petitioner the matter was directed to be listed on 02.09.2024 under the caption "for dismissal". When the matter was called today i.e., 02.09.2024 none represented on behalf of the petitioner and it is clear and evident that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the case.
