O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 2nd respondent to consider her representation dated 02.08.2024 seeking sanction of Legislators Family Pension for MLC for a period from February 1988 onwards.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Mr.V.Venka, S/o. Veerasamy Reddy was a Member of Tamil Nadu Legislative Council from 1968 to 1974 and he died on 26.01.1988. Thereafter, the petitioner applied for family pension due to her and the same has not been considered till date. Finally, the petitioner submitted the instant representation on 02.08.2024 seeking sanction of family pension from the date of death her husband. The same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr..V.Jeevagiridharan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents, submits that the petitioner's representation is under consideration and will be disposed of within a time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.08.2024 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
