ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to withdraw the investigation pending on the file of the 2nd respondent in Cr.No.346 of 2018 and transfer the same to any other officer or any other agency to investigate the matter as per law and file a final report.

2. Today, when the petition came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that already in respect of Cr.No.346 of 2018, orders have been passed by the 1st respondent to transfer the same to the file of the

Inspector of Police, Thirumullaivoyal Police Station, and as of now, the same is pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Thirumullaivoyal Police Station.

3. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, no further order is required in this petition as the investigation in Cr.No.346 of 2018 has already been transferred to some other police officer. However, since the complaint has been registered in the year 2017, it would be appropriate to direct the Investigation Officer to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three weeks.

4. Accordingly, the concerned Investigation Officer is directed to complete the investigation in Cr.No.346 of 2018 and file a final report within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
