ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case, Cr.No.45 of 2019 was registered for the alleged offences under Sections 294 (b) and 324 of the I.P.C. The occurrence is of the year 2019. The allegation in this case is that at a Tasmac bar, the accused entered into a drunken brawl and also attacked the defacto-complainant with a beer Page No.1 of 3
bottle and caused injury to him. The case has been pending from since 2019. It is reported that the first accused is attending the proceedings and NBW pending against A2. There are no previous or subsequent cases against the accused and it can be seen that as per the opinion of the Doctor the injury is also simple.
3.For all the above reasons, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon their right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served.
4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.2246 of 2019 of Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Coimbatore Taluk, Coimbatore, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
