ORDER

The petitioner who is a senior citizen, has filed an application under Section 23 of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 dated 18.10.2024 before the 2nd respondent, seeking to cancel the Settlement Deed, dated 24.01.2024. However, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 18.10.2024.

2. Considering the limited prayer sought by the petitioner and the fact that the representation has been pending for a year, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation made by the petitioner, dated 18.10.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after hearing the parties concerned, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, this writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
