This contempt petition has been preferred seeking to punish the respondent for willfully disobeying the order of this Court dated 30.10.2018 passed in Crl.O.P.No.25305 of 1/3
2018.
2. Today, J.Anandan, Inspector of Police, Arcot Town Police Station and G.Seetha, Sub-Inspector of Police, Arcot Town Police Station, are present before this Court.
3. On 29.11.2019, this Court passed the following order:
"Today G.Seetha, Sub-Inspector of Police, Arcot Town Police Station, Arcot, Vellore District, is present.
2. Despite two orders that have been passed by this Court, there has not been proper compliance. Hence, the Superintendent of Police, Vellore, is directed to be present before this Court on 18.12.2019 at 10.30 a.m.
Post the matter on 18.12.2019, under the caption "for reporting compliance"."
4. As directed by this Court in the aforesaid order, Pravesh Kumar, I.P.S., Superintendent of Police, Vellore, was present on 18.12.2019, but, there was no sitting of this Court and therefore, he marked his presence before the Joint Registrar (Original Side) of this Court.
5. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the investigation in Crime No.597 of 2017 was completed and the final report has been taken on file as C.C.No.130 of 2019 by the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Arcot, for the offences under Sections 294-B, 352, 427 2/3
and 506 (II) IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 1998. She also submitted that the investigation in the counter case in Crime No.131 of 2019 was also completed and the final report has been taken on file as C.C.No.131 of 2019 by the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Arcot, for the offences under Sections 294-B, 324 and 506 (II) IPC.
