By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.

2.Mr.E.Sundaram, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the 1st respondent and Mr. Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the 2nd respondent.

3. The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that even though a charge memo was issued to him on 17.12.2019 itself and despite the fact that enquiry proceedings had been completed, no final orders have been passed by the Disciplinary Authority viz., the 1st respondent herein. The petitioner seeks for early disposal of the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him.

4. Heard Mr.R. Prem Narayan, learned counsel for the petitioner, 2/4

Mr.E.Sundaram, learned Government Advocate for the 1st respondent and Mr. Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader for the 2nd respondent.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, with regard to the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law in the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
