ORDER

Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondent. With consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to survey the land in Town Survey No.32, Ward - D, Block 26, situated at Medavakkam, Main Road, Thalakkhanacheri Revenue Village, Alandur Taluk, Chennai and issue patta to the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the aforesaid property. He submitted representation to the respondent to survey the property on 05.08.2025. However, the petitioner's representation was not considered by the respondent till date, thus the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent would consider the petitioner's representation and carry out a survey and fix boundary stones at the subject property within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.08.2025, carry out a survey, demarcate the property and thereafter fix boundary stones at the subject property, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice and reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties, including rival claimants, if any. The respondents are at liberty to seek police protection, if need arises. No costs.
