ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioners and their family members under the guise of enquiry/investigation.

2. The case of the petitioners is that there is civil dispute between the petitioners and the defacto complainant and already two cheque complaints are also pending against the petitioners in STC.No.9592 and 9597 of 2025 on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding executed between the defacto complainant and the petitioners. It is their further contention that they had

already appeared before the investigating Officer for enquiry. The grievance of the petitioners is that they are repeatedly called to the police station.

3. Whereas, the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] on instructions submitted that though the second petitioner had appeared before the investigating officer, he had not produced the documents. He further submitted that if the documents are produced, they will go through the documents and complete the preliminary enquiry. The petitioners or their representative can produce all the documents.

4. Considering the submissions on either side, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioners to appear before the respondent on receipt of summons and the petitioners shall produce the documents before the respondent and on such production, the respondent shall complete the investigation within a period of 10 days. 04-09-2025
