This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.80 of 2025 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 331(4) and 309(4) of BNS, on the file of the 1st respondentPolice.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.
3. The allegations in the FIR in Crime No.80 of 2025, clearly indicate that on 03.04.2025 three unknown persons have entered into the house of the second respondent/defacto complainant and snatched a gold thali weighed about 4 1⁄2 sovereigns. As per the prosecution, investigation is going on.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner mainly contended that the petitioner's name has not been found in the FIR and in the original complaint. Only based on the confession given by Panneer Selvam and Shanmugam, the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the alleged offences.

5. At the outset, this Court is of the view that investigation is on and part of such huge crime is unearthed and hence, this Court does not find any merit in the present petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
