ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to process and disburse the retirement benefits along with accrued interest from the date of retirement till the date of payment in respect of the petitioner's claim within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The grievance of the petitioner as seen from the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition is that she retired from service on 31.07.2004 but till date her retirement benefits has not been paid. The petitioner has given several representations and the last such representation was given on 01.10.2022 to the respondents requesting them to disburse her retirement benefits. The first respondent has also forwarded the representation of the petitioner to the second respondent on 14.10.2022.

No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law by the second respondent within the time to be fixed by this Court.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 01.10.2022 seeking for disbursement of her retirement dues along with accrued interest within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
