ORDER
The petitioner seeks the following relief from this Court : Praying to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.06.2023 to survey the land in Patta No.3047 comprised in S.No.455/3A1 measuring an extent 1.32 acres and S.No.457/2B measuring an extent of 29 cents, situated at Kaveripattinam-2 Village, Krishnagiri District and land in S.F.No.621/1 measuring an extent of 464 sq.ft. situated at Kaveripattinam - 1, Krishnagiri District.

The contention of the petitioner is that the land comprised in Patta No.3047, S.No.455/3A1 measuring an extent of 1.32 acres and the land comprised in Patta No.318, S.No.457/2B1 measuring an extent of 29 cents of Kaveripattinam-2 Village, Krishnagiri District, belong to his wife Jayitha Begum. Further, an 2/5
extent of 464 cents in S.No.621/1 of Kaveripattinam-1, also stood in her name. The petitioner's wife passed away and he had inherited the property. Therefore, he had submitted an application with necessary fees to the first respondent for surveying, measuring and demarcating his properties in question through his representation dated 22.06.2023. Though more than a year has lapsed, the petitioner's request has not been considered or orders passed thereon.

Therefore, taking note of the aforesaid facts, a mandamus is issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2023, to conduct a survey, after issuing notice to the adjoining land owners and interested parties, consider their objections and thereafter proceed to survey the property. In case, the first respondent rejects the request, a speaking order shall be passed. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
4. With the above direction, this writ petition is allowed. No costs.
