O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the Court below in Crl.M.P.No.6851 of 2023, dismissing the application filed by the petitioner to relax the condition imposed by the Court below. 1/4

2.Considering the nature of allegations that were made in this case, this Court directed the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to take instructions. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that in the instant case, apart from the petitioner, there are three other accused persons involved and they have cheated to the tune of Rs.17,25,05,000/- (Rupees Seventeen Crores Twenty Five Lakhs and Five Thousand only). Considering the magnitude of the offence, the case has now been transferred to the file of the Economic Offences Wing, Perambalur and fresh FIR has been registered in Crime No.01 of 2024 on 23.02.2024. A copy of the FIR was also produced before this Court.

3.Considering the nature of allegations made against the petitioner and the magnitude of the offence and also of the fact that the case has now been transferred to the file of the Economic Offences Wing, Perambalur for further investigation, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order passed by the Court below. Since the bail bond executed by the petitioner has been cancelled, it will be left open to the Economic Offences Wing to secure the accused person and proceed further in accordance with law.
