The writ petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.08.2017 and to direct the first and second respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner's shop.

2. The petitioner seeks police protection to his shop. Now, almost two years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh complaint on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
