Heard Mrs. Selvi George, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. P.Balathandayutham, Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the First Respondent and perused the materials, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The Writ Petition has been filed for restraining the Respondents from making any appointment to the post of Forester by direct recruitment without promoting the eligible Forest Guards who are working in the Forest Department. 3.

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the First Respondent has brought to notice that after the filing of the Writ Petition, the First Respondent by proceedings no. AB1/26103/2017 dated 09.08.2017 has granted temporary promotion the Petitioner to the post of Forester, and its copy has been produced and Learned Counsel for the Petitioner has also acknowledged its receipt. In view of the subsequent events, nothing remains for further consideration in this Writ Petition, but if the Petitioners still has any grievance to be redressed, he is not precluded from working out his rights before the proper forum in the manner recognized by law. In fine, the Writ Petition is disposed with the aforesaid observations. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
