O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to pass orders on the Wakf Application of the petitioner dated 10.04.2017, 1/4

seeking to amend the proforma report of the Chennimalai Masjid bearing GS.No.195/ERD as per Section 41 of the Wakf Act 1995.

2. The only grievance of the petitioner is that his application of the year 2017 has not been considered by the respondent. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that if the petitioner submits a fresh application, the respondents will consider the same and will pass suitable orders on merit.

3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application to the respondent within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of such application, the respondent shall consider the same and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, within a period of three weeks thereafter. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
