The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.19 of 2019 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 r/w 294(b), 353, 307 and 506(2) of IPC.

2. The learned Government Advocate has stated that they received secret information about the sale of Ganja. They found the accused/A2 and A1 were in possession of 2 kgs of ganja. It is stated that A1 has been arrested and the petitioner herein escaped.

3. Status report has been filed on behalf of the Respondent that the statement of witnesses have examined but final report is yet to be filed, since the petitioner herein is still absconding. 1/3

4. In view of that particular fact, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. This Criminal Original petition stand dismissed.
