This application has been filed seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator by a period of six months.

2. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that petitioner's Company has been amalgamated with Model Infra Corporation Private Limited and therefore, learned counsel for the petitioner would have to take necessary steps to change the name of the claimant Company. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the present application, both Texcel International Private Limited and Model Infra Corporation Private Limited have been shown as the applicant. In such circumstances, this Court deems it appropriate to consider the prayer in the present application.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that he has no objection in that regard.

4. In view of the aforesaid facts, the term of the learned Arbitrator to complete the arbitration proceedings is extended for a further period of six months from date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the learned Arbitrator shall decide the application filed by the petitioner's Company for amending its name in accordance with law. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2
