Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders on the claim of the petitioner for rectifying the anomaly of his Junior drawing more pay than the Petitioner (Senior) and stepping up of the Petitioner's pay on par with his Junior as on 01.01.2008 and revision of retirement and pensionary benefits on that basis and for disbursement of consequential monetary benefits with interest, within a limited time frame.

O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to rectify the pay anamoly and to step up the pay of the petitioner on par with his junior and consequentially revise the pensionary benefits.
2. It is seen from the records that the petitioner joined as an Associate Professor of Economics in the 4th respondent college in the year 1981 and he retired from service in the year 2014. It is the claim of the petitioner that there is a pay anamoly and the juniors were drawing more pay than the petitioner and therefore the petitioner wanted his pay to be stepped up to that of his juniors.
3. The petitioner has made a representation to the first respondent on 10.10.2019 in this regard. Since the same has not been disposed off, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
4. Heard Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.V.Kathirvel, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 10.10.2019 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the first respondent along with a copy of the representation dated 10.10.2019 and also a copy of this order.
6. This writ petition is disposed off with the above direction. No costs.
