This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to renew the license of the petitioner as Class-I Contractor pursuant to the application submitted on 19.06.2023. 2.A counter affidavit has been filed by the 1st and 2nd respondents and they have taken a stand that the contract of the petitioner was terminated on 19.05.2022 and the same was also communicated to the petitioner. In view of the same, there is no question of renewing the petitioner's license. 3.In view of the above development, the relief as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court since the contract itself has been cancelled in the year 2022 and which has not been challenged by the petitioner. 2/9

4. In the result, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.

The matter was listed under the caption 'Being Mentioned' on the ground that the termination of the contract on 19.05.2022, was never communicated to the petitioner and that only if the same is communicated to the petitioner, the petitioner will be able to workout his remedy in accordance with law. 6/9

2.In the light of the above grievance expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondents to communicate the termination of the contract with the petitioner on 19.05.2022, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. On receipt of the same, it is left open to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner known to law. 3.This portion of the order shall be included in the last paragraph of the order and the Registry is directed to carry out the aforesaid corrections in the order and issue fresh order copy.
