O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to hand over all the original parent documents of the schedule mentioned property purchased by the petitioner from the respondent bank through Sale certificate dated 23.07.2013 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. 1/4
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner had purchased a property through an auction sale conducted by the respondent bank vide Sale Certificate dated 23.07.2013. Pursuant thereto, except the sale deed, no other parent documents were handed over to the petitioner by the bank officials. Aggrieved by which, the petitioner addressed a detailed representation on 04.06.2025 to the respondent bank seeking return of original parent documents, to which, the respondent bank has given a reply letter dated 13.06.225 stating that the petitioner has not approached the concerned branch subsequent to the registration of property and due to efflux of time, the files were transmitted and that they could not ascertain the same immediately and that they would take effective steps to obtain the original documents. However, no action has been taken by the respondent bank to handover the original documents to the petitioner. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to the inaction on the part of the respondent bank to return the original documents, the petitioner could not deal with the property in any manner which had caused serious prejudice to the petitioner. Hence, this Court may issue a direction to the respondent bank to return the original documents to the petitioner within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent bank to furnish the original parent documents pertaining to the subject property to the petitioner in the light of the reply letter dated 13.06.2025 within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
