The petitioner herein seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.41 of 2022 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 6(4) of Tamil Nadu Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order 1982 r/w Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that, he has been falsely implicated as an accused in this case. Apprehending arrest from the respondent police, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) stated that the petitioner had stolen 18 tons of PDS rice. It had been further stated that only one of the accused who had transported the rice in a lorry had been taken into custody. C.V.KARTHIKEYAN , J.

Crl.O.P.No.25377 of 2023 4.Taking all the factors into consideration, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
